If by "both", you still mean "I am in a hurry" and "I am hurry", then the answer is still that only "I am in a hurry" is correct.
I hurry.
I am hurrying.
I hurried.
I am in a hurry.
The first three use "to hurry" as a verb and the last uses "a hurry" as a noun with "in a hurry" being the commonly-used phrase.
