    Default Recommended Books

    Hi

I have returned to teaching English after 9 years and am not sure if the books I used to use are out of date and there are newer ones that can be recommended.

Can somebody recommended the best books to use for the following levels?

    Beginners
    Intermediate
    Upper Intermediate
    Advanced

Many thanks in advance for you help.

    Kind regards

    Carina

The language hasn't changed that much in the last nine years.

I haven't used a coursebook for years- there are so many resources available that give the flexibility to deal with needs that arise and the ability to teach without repeating materials.

You can browse here for some resources:

    Red face Re: Recommended Books

    Hi,
I'm new to teaching and would really appreciate if somebody could recommend course books to help me get started.
I already have students requesting my help in the following levels:
    Intermediate
    Beginner (adult)
I am in Russia so if the course books could be available here, it would really be appreciated.

    Hi
    Welcome to the forum Carina
I'm teaching adults as well. From beginner to upper intermediate levels. The course books I've used so far were True To Life and Total English. However to me no book is complete so you can't rely just on one book. I try to make use of the worksheets, the eBooks, and the other course books to make the lessons more interesting. I've found Cutting Edge series also interesting. You don't have to be bound to one specific book. A selection of the best points from different sources can also meet the objective of the lessons (It's my own idea which I do believe in it).
    Good Luck.

Thank you very much. Are the downloads the same as the books because I was looking at some of the e-books and they don't always include all the material in the books?
I have looked at the English File books and they seem to be perfect for what I'm doing. Thank you again.
