Default Are these two terms the same? "modern equipped kitchen" and "modern fitted kitchen"?

    Hi
I wonder if both terms have the same meaning? If not, could you kindly let me know the difference. I know "fitted" as an adjective but I can't digest well what a fitted kitchen is?
    Thanks a lot.

Scroll down this page to see pictures of fitted kitchens.

The matching cupboards, worktops and appliances are installed permanently in place to a smart design, rather than being separate, free-standing and easily movable.

'Equipped kitchen' is not a fixed expression like 'fitted kichen' is. You can say 'I have a modern, well-equipped kitchen'.
