I heard the line FROM a movie VS I heard the line IN a movie ??

    Hi.

I was just wondering if the following sentences sound natural as well as are correct.

    1. I heard the line FROM a movie but can't remember which one.

    2. I heard the line IN a movie but can't remember which one.

Is there a difference between two sentences above?

Thanks for the help, in advance.

P.s: I would really appreciate if you could correct sentences that sound unnatural.

#1 means that you heard the line indirectly, from some source other than the film. #2 means that you heard the line directly, while watching the film.

This one, for example: 100 Greatest Quotes in Movies - AFI
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
