What is the correct form?
A British accent
The British accent
Surely you have posted enough in our forum to know you need to give us the CONTEXT. We can't tell you which is right without knowing how you want to use it!
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
I'm sorry. I should have given the context.
Here are examples:
I've got ... British accent.
I've got ... English accent.
I've got .a. British accent.
I've got .an. English accent.
Thanks and forgive me for being stupid.
