Default Can I say "Written by X...

Can I say "Written by X, it was the most famous writing at that time"
Can I replace "written by" with "being written by" or "writing by"?
    Which is more natural?
    Thanks a lot!

Why would you want to change something that is perfectly natural and in use? And the answer is no to both.
