    Is this understanding correct?
    1. Is there a bank around here? - BrE
    2. Is there a bank round here? - BrE, AmE
    3. Is there a bank near here? - BrE, AmE
    Thank you.

"Is there a bank around here?" is also frequently used by Americans.

"Is there a bank round here?" seems strange to me!! Because round does not mean "near". It means surrounding...all sides of something...etc.

"Is there a bank near here?" ...Correct. British, American.

    Re: around

I would happily use 'round here'. (BrE speaker)

    Re: around

They'd both be fine in BrE to me.
