My watch doesn't work/isn't working all of a sudden.
This sentence is taken from L. G. Alexander's RIGHT WORD WRONG WORD.
My question is whether the phrase 'all of a sudden' goes with both 'doesn't work' and 'isn't working' or just with 'isn't working'.
Many thanks in advance.
Works with both, but present continuous, "isn't working" with "all of a sudden"(now) would be correct.
