except / except for / with the exception of

Dear teachers,

1. "I will do whatever you want except washing the car"

2. "I will do whatever you want except for washing the car"

3. "I will do whatever you want with the exception of washing the car"

4. "Everybody was pleased except Julie"

5. "Everybody was pleased except for Julie"

6. "Everybody was pleased with the exception of Julie"


Are these sentences all correct? Sentences 3 and 6 above sound so strange to my (even non-native) ears...
