    what we are doing

    Which is correct:
1-This time our work is not what we do usually and we are really enjoying what we are doing.

2-This time our work is not what we do usually and we are really enjoying what we do.

    Gratefully,
    Navi.

    Re: what we are doing

Neither sounds natural. On what occasion would you use a sentence like this?

    Re: what we are doing

    Thank you very much Rover,

We usually have a certain type of task. This time we have been asked to do something different and we are enjoying carrying out this new task.
a-We are enjoying what we are doing.
b-We are enjoying what we do.

I think "a" is correct and "b" is not.

    Gratefully,
    Navi.

    Re: what we are doing

    Hi,

Why not simply say "we are enjoying the change"? Thus, the simple present/present continuous trouble at the end of the sentence is avoided.

    Re: what we are doing

    Thank you Charlie,
You are right. That would be the easy way out and the one I would have chosen in a conversation. But here I was trying to see how the tenses would be used, not only in this particular context, but in similar ones as well.

    Gratefully,
    Navi.

    (a) is the natural form here.
