    Lightbulb directly or exactly?

    Hi Here is my question:
Can I say: Donors are assured that the money they contribute goes exactly to the social program.

The answer key is 'directly', but I think 'exactly' is okay. Am I right?

    Thanks!

    NOT A TEACHER

What makes you think that exactly could be used in place of directly?
