    Diffrent Qustions

    Hi, everybody

Would revise below paragraph and make it native like

In my country, registration process at university looks like a football match among clerks where we are the real ball.

1)Not knowing what to do, I telephoned robin. (What’s the bold part?)
According to “practical English usage, page xxi” it’s called clause,
    What do you think?

    2) What’s the difference in terms of meaning between A and B?

    A) The sky darkened
    B) The sky is darkened

    Thanks

Not knowing what to do, I telephoned Robin. = I did not know what to do, so I telephoned Robin.

The sky darkened. Darkened is being used as a verb. The emphasis is on the change in the sky from one thing to another.
The sky is darkened. Darkened is being used as an adjective. It's focusing only on the sky as it is now.
