    Default Referred to

    Good morning,
if I say: "how is the press also referred to as?" is it correct? I am expecting "the 4th power as an answer"... it seems weird but I can't figure the problem with it...

    thanks in advance

    Welcome the forums.

I hope you will give more context when you ask the question, however. As someone who has worked in public affairs, I have a lot of other ways to refer to the press, and few are as complimentary as "the fourth estate."
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
