    Default conditionals

If Cooper survived, will he get caught?
What kind of conditional sentence is this? In the first part we have past but in the second part we have will!
What is the meaning of if Cooper survived? Past or present?
    Thanks

    Default Re: conditionals

Many conditional sentences can't be slotted into the traditional categories.

This one accepts the possibility that Cooper survived (in the past) the fall The speaker is asking whether, accepting this possibility, the person addressed thinks Cooper will be caught.
