Eating too much chocolate makes me feel sick and spoils / spoil

Eating too much chocolate makes me feel sick and spoils / spoil our appetite.

Which verb should I use? I believe it should be 'spoil' because I think eating too much chocolate also makes me spoil my appetite.

    Thanks.

No. It makes you sick and it spoils your appetite.
