    hollow/solid

    Hello,

In different constructions like churches, palaces, and museums built in Russia there were many different columns supporting the vaults of the buildings and being used as decorations. Sometimes columns were made hollow, which means that was nothing inside. What is the word used in the opposite meaning? Is it "solid"? For example: some columns were made hollow, but most of them are solid. Is it correct to say this?

    Thanks
