    Are these sentences correct

    Dear All,

Are these senteces correct. If wrong, please explain why.

    1) The proposal was finalized after being discussed.

    2) The proposal was finalized after it was discussed.

    3) The proposal was finalized after discussing it.

How Sr. No. 3 is different from Sr. No. 1 & 2

    As per my understanding

Sr. No. 1 and 2 both are same. Sr. no. 1 has been used in gerund form.

    Re: Are these sentences correct

They have much the same meaning. I don't like the third version as much because of the messy pronoun 'it', which makes the sentence a bit clumsy. In both 1 & 3 a gerund is used, but the first is passive, which avoids the pronoun, while the third is active.
