    Default sum

    In the following sentence,

Note that the totals may not sum due to rounding.

    What does "sum" mean?
Is it saying the totals may not be precise due to rounding?

    Thank you.

Yes. For example, percentages as printed may not add up to 100; or the horizontal and vertical cross-totals may not be the same.
