    as much as

    Can one say:
1-He has worked for this company as much as I have.

    instead of:
2-He has worked for this company here as long as I have.

    Can one say:
3-He has stayed here as much as I have.
    instead of:
4-He has stayed here as long as I have.

    Can one say:
5-He has lived here as much as I have.
    instead of:
6-He has lived here as long as I have.

    Gratefully,
    Navi.

Refers to the quality/quantity of work and not to duration.
    instead of:
2-He has worked for this company here as long as I have. Refers to duration and "here" is not necessary.

    Can one say:
3-He has stayed here as much as I have. Refers to the number if times/frequency..
    instead of:
4-He has stayed here as long as I have. Refers to duration/length of time..

    Can one say:
5-He has lived here as much as I have.
    instead of:
6-He has lived here as long as I have.
    Same as 3 & 4

    Re: as much as

    Thank you very much Bill,

I have another question which is related to the first one.

    Can one say:
7-He has stayed here more than I have.
    instead of:
8-He has stayed here longer than I have.

    Can one say:
9-He has lived here more than I have.
    instead of:
10-He has lived here longer than I have.

Or do "7" and "9" refer to frequency while "8" and "10" refer to duration?

    Gratefully,
    Navi.

#9 is not natural. We can't live somewhere more frequently.
