    comma or semicolon

    Hi teachers,

in the following sentence, the punctuation should be comma or semicolon.

How to bring out an elephant from refrigerator?
    There are three steps:
    a. (1) open the refrigerator, (2) bring it out, and (3) close the refrigerator.
    b. (1) open the refrigerator; (2) bring it out; and (3) close the refrigerator.
    c. (1) open the refrigerator; (2) bring it out, and (3) close the refrigerator.

None of those are natural. The punctuation used for a sentence doesn't applied to numbered lists of phrases.

You could use commas - as you would if it were a sentence without numbers.
