    I suppose it would be OK in a certain context. For example, if the speaker (A) had asked the other person (B) to visit for the entire day, but (B) advised that he/she couldn't visit for that long because of other committments and then later arrived anyway, (A) might make a statement such as in your example.

    'Why are you still here?'

    'You weren't supposed to stay so long.'
