    "i will revert back to you shortly"

    Hi teachers, may I know the above phrase is grammatically correct?

    If you capitalize the "I" that begins the sentence, it is grammatically OK.

    It's not semantically OK, at least not in AmE or BrE.

    There is no definition of "revert" that means to "reply."

    This is used, I have learned here, in some Indian dialects, but I would consider it an error.

    No sentence (it's not a phrase) can be grammatically correct if it doesn't begin with a capital letter and end with a punctuation mark.

    No definition of revert means reply.

    'I will reply shortly.'
    'I will get back to you shortly.'

    I have heard South Asian speakers use it, but it's not used in many variants of English. Is it used in Singapore?
