Dear Teachers

I am planning to study in the UK to brush up my spoken English. My friend suggests that I better choose a place which has more native English speakers, so he said Exeter (about 90% native English) is better than London (about 50% native, a lot of foreigners).

What is your take on that? Or how about Scotland? I was once told by a retired senior banker (from HSBC) that people in Inverness speak the best English. I am not sure if it is true or not, and it is a good place for me to polish my spoken English in Inverness.

Please advise.

Unless the foreigners in London are from the same country as you, then you'll have to speak English to them anyway. So in that respect, it doesn't really make much difference.
