Practice Exam questions - I can't understand the practice questions...
Hey all, in preparation for our exam in a couple of weeks, our lecturers gave us a couple of the questions that were in the exam from last year. I can't understand the meaning of the questions. I can't figure out how/what they want.
These are 2 of the questions from last year. If they're this difficult for my exam...I don't think I'll get a preferable outcome.
‘Fantasy offers young readers not an escape from the challenges of everyday life, but an opportunity to consider those challenges from a less distressing perspective.’ To what extent is this true of any TWO (2) texts you have studied in LIT222?
Considering this question, would it mean it offers the chance to experience those challenges with no real life consequences?
'Even when the subject matter is familiar or grim, contemporary children’s texts celebrate above all the freedom to play with language.’ How true is this of any TWO (2) of the set texts?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm not a teacher yet, but I am studying a Bachelor of Education with an English Literature major at Charles Sturt University, in NSW, Australia.
