Rather than and Would rather ............than

    Hi, teachers!
    1) I'd rather you said an apology to her than just keep silent.
    2) I'd rather you said an apology to her than just kept silent.

    3) My mother would rather we caught the bus, rather than walk home after the party.
    4) My mother would rather we caught the bus, rather than walked home after the party.
    5) My mother would rather we caught the bus, rather than walking home after the party.
    Which is correct, please?

None of them is correct. the first one should be "I'd rather you apologised to her than just kept silent."
