Default so he decided to go back to University to study dentistry.

Rodney felt that he was stuck in a rut, so he decided to go back to University to study dentistry.

I think that the word university must be capitalized in case it is just a proper name. Unfortunately, I found it at this site being started with upper case while it is still not functioning as a proper name.

It is not a proper noun. It should not begin with a capital letter.

Please see my amendments to your post above. Check on your use of "in case" and "just" in the first sentence, and "while" and "still" in the second sentence. It's good that you try to use these phrases but, in this particular case, you did not use them correctly.

I have left "proper name" but remember that you will hear/see "proper noun".
Remember - correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing make posts much easier to read.
