NOT A TEACHER

I have a pencil. - present simple

I have had a pencil. - present perfect simple (though the example sentence seems quite strange to me - I cannot think of a situation I would use it, but that might be just my problem)

Other examples:
1)
I have had this picture for 2 years.

I have this picture, because I like the yellowish background.

2)
I have just had a shower.

I have a shower every morning.

Try to study the differences between the present simple and present perfect simple. :)

Please follow the correct forms of written English on the forum:

- Do not use textspeak, use full English words (ie do not use "pls", "thx" etc).
- Capitalise the first letter of every new sentence.
- One full stop at the end of a sentence is enough.
