    It's a spelling error. It should read "stutter", whose meaning may be found in any dictionary. Someone who is startled may very well stutter or stammer.
    I'm not a teacher of English, but I have spoken it for (almost) all of my life....

    Click on Edit Post > Delete > check Delete Message (you can give a reason in the box but you don't need to) > click Delete Post.
