He looked like he had a corner on the local bacteria market.
I found this sentence in my dictionary. But I can't get the meaning of bacteria market.
Will you please help me?
The verb 'corner the market' is common enough, but I can't say I've heard the noun 'a corner on the market'.
I don't know what a bacteria market is, either.
After 114 posts, chrysanthemum, you should know that 'meaning' is not a helpful thread title. 'Bacteria Market - meaning?' would have been much better.
I, too, am intrigued as to which dictionary houses this sentence and as part of a definition for which word. Please post a link or tell us which dictionary and what word you were looking up.
