[Grammar] The sentence, I need for you to help me is fine?

Is this true that 'I need for you to do it." the same as 'I need you to do it.'? This is so new but I think so. What do you teachers think about it? Thank you so much in advance.

P.S How about 'I want for you to help me' and 'I want you to help me'?

I wouldn't use either, but others may.

I have heard and read these constructions in dialogues in American film, crime novels and TV series.

Our US friends will comment on their use in daily conversation in AmE.
