Default 2) I am studying English for 1 year.

    1) I am studying English this year.

    2) I am studying English for 1 year.

    3) I have been studying English for 1 year.

I know that #1 and #3 are correct in grammar and meaning, but I was wondering if #2 is also possible? If so, how can we distinguish between #2 and #3?

Thank you for your time and help as usual and have a good day.

#2 means "I am in the process of studying English for one year". The studying has started and is ongoing.
#3 means "I am studying English, up to now I have been studying for one year, my course of study is probably going to continue."
