    Past Simple or Past Continuous?

    Hello,

Should "knock" be in the Past Simple or Past Continuous or both work?

What were you doing in there?! I [knocked/was knocking] on your door. Did you here me?

    Thank you.

    Nawee

Re: Past Simple or Past Continuous?

Probably 'was knocking', given the question.
