Default I forbade her to go// I forbade her from going.

    1. I forbade her to go.

    2. I forbade her from going.

Sentence 1 is grammatical - as I know, and one of the web dictionaries says sentence 2 is also grammatical. Is it true? Is 2 grammatical and natural?

Yes, 2 is grammatical and natural. Are you sure 1 is right?
