    The key is B, but why isn't C chosen, please?

    You undergo an operation. As a result, you might suffer some pain or discomfort afterwards. You were probably suffering from something which caused a medical problem in order to require an operation.
    Remember - correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing make posts much easier to read.
