Default "stop the fights over the washing-up"

    Hello teachers,

It just came to me that I'm getting confuse of this sentence:

Regarding the sentence "stop the fights over the washing-up",
can I write it as "stop the fights on the washing-up"?
Is the over here means "regarding"?

Would it quite often for native speaker to use "over" insteads of "about"?

    Thanks a lot.
