    What does this mean?

Today, I saw an advertisement on usingenglish.com as follows.

    Written a book?

    What does this mean? Because

There is no helping verb and pronoun before the word "written".

How to understand such a short sentences?

    Re: What does this mean?

In headlines, titles and other places where a full sentence isn't absolutely necessary, you will see this kind of construction.

An advert for a restaurant might start "Feeling Hungry?" Of course, it means "Are you feeling hungry?"
A document helping you to fix your computer could start "Computer viruses driving you crazy?" This means "Are computer viruses driving you crazy?"
At a nightclub in my town, there is a permanent sign outside reading "Wanna boogie?!" This means "Do you want to boogie?" or "Do you want to dance?"
Remember - correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing make posts much easier to read.

    Re: What does this mean?

A better thread title would have been Written a book?

Thread titles should include all or part of the word/phrase being discussed. (Avoid phrases like "HELP!", "Urgent!", "translation please", "What does this mean?" "how do I say this", "I'm new" and similar expressions.)
