I have heard of the kind of #1, but I am not sure that the kind of #2 is possible and what difference are there between them? If you do not mind, could you tell me when we can use the #2 and the difference between them? Thank you so much as usual in advance.

1 means that you are happy that you have been chosen to receive the award.
2 means that you are happy that are able to travel to an awards ceremony in order to be handed the actual physical award (a trophy, a cup, a certificate etc).

Note that sentence 2 is not very natural and I can't imagine using it. If the situation dictated, I would probably say "I'm really glad that I was able to come here tonight to pick up this award" or something similar.
