    Default his eyes get fixed or his eyes fix

    If somebody is dying it is correct to say that "his eyes get fixed" or "his eyes fix"?

    Better to say "his eyes become fixed".
    I'm not a teacher of English, but I have spoken it for (almost) all of my life....
