He came looking for me.

1. Is "looking" gerund or participle?
If "looking" is participle, does "1" mean "2" , "3" or anything?
2. He came and looked for me.
3. He came and was looking for me.

You have already asked about the meaning of "He came looking for me" and received an answer. It makes no difference whether it is a gerund or a participle.
