    any better

    A-Can one say:
    1-Are there any better?
    instead of:
2-Are there any better than this?

    B-Can one say:
    3-Is there any better?
    or:
4-Is there any better than this?
    instead of:
5-Is there any better one than this?

It seems to me that 3 and 4 mean 'Can it get any better than this? Is there anything better than this?.

    Re: any better

You can say them all for me. 3 & 4 could mean what you say in the right context- at a concert, say.
