Default He was naughty and he was a liar/a liar

    1. I don't like the shepherd boy because he was naughty and he was a liar.
    2. I don't like the shepherd boy because he was naughty and a liar.

I am wondering if sentence 2 is incorrect.

    Thanks.

Sentence (2) is correct and a little more natural than (1).

In BrE, both are fine and I would be more likely to use #2.
