    I didn't post my question simultaneously on two sites. My question is about punctuation. But no one on this site answered the question. So I posted it on another site. I apologize if anyone feels offended. I appreciate your help. By the way, I guess that "pour down rain" is American English usage.

    It's very uncommon. Of 555 COCA citations for 'pour/pours/poured/pouring down', only 21 (3.8%) are followed by '/rain'
