Hello,
Past Habits ? Would / Used to
"I would have a lot of fun when I was younger. (It is wrong)
But,
1-When I was a student, I would often have a beard.
This suggests that the state was repeated several times over a period of years, but it is a highly restricted use of ‘would’.
2-When I was a student, I would often have a beard.
3-She would be the most popular girl on the beach when she wore her bikini. (after, before, while)
4-She would have an amazing tan by the time summer ended.
I have seen these sentences in that internet site, but some other English grammar books say that we can't use the stative verbs with would. Instead of this, this site say that we can use the stative verbs with would with some adverbs, preposition such as often, while. I would like to ask if it is OK or not.
Thanks.
