    Please provide the entire context in which you read this.

    Also, please:
    1) Use proper punctuation in your posts
    2) Give your thread meaningful titles, like "had to say" for this one.
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
