    Default "having a fragile ego"

    opposite of 'confident'
What is the opposite of 'confident'? I thought it was 'inconfident' but I cannot find the word in the dictionaries that I have.

There is no 'in-/un-/ confident'. We can say 'lacking in confidence', or: Antonym of confident | Synonym.com
    ego (n.)
    How about insecure?

Are "having a fragile ego", insecure, and lacking in confidence different definitions for the same meaning?

No. Have you tried looking up these words/phrases here?

They're not necessarily identical and wouldn't fit all situations, but they're in similar territory.

Yes, I have checked many sources, but I did fail understanding the exact meaning of 'having a fragile ego' thanks to poor reading. Regarding your link, it was helpful and I brought the following phrase:

"a bruised ego (=a loss of confidence)
    "

More: ego - definition. American English definition of ego by Macmillan Dictionary
