    Cool sport or sports

    Hello!

    Which is correct here, please?

    -Do you do sport?

    -Do you do sports?

    Thanks a lot

    No

    Possible

    Thanks a lot

I suppose that one could say, "Do you do sports?" though this is overworking "do". There seems to be an informal trend to use "do" this way. I would opt for "Do you play sports?"

"Do you do (any) sport?" is OK in BrE.

Or 'much' (in place of 'any').

The same Br/Am Eng divide, but the other way round, affects clothing: Br Eng 'sports-jacket'/ Am Eng 'sport-coat' (which I think is the same garment).
