Dear Forum Users,

I wonder if there are any mistakes in this:

That is, since butchery is a highly skilled profession, where considerable expertise and skill is involved (including knowledge of the anatomy of animals, and also knowledge of different cuts of meat) …

So, could anyone please revise this for grammar?

Thank you very much.

There are no spelling or punctuation errors in what you have written so far. Whether there are any grammatical errors is impossible to say because the sentence is unfinished. If you give us the complete sentence, we'll be able to say.

I am writing about the metaphor: 'This surgeon is a butcher', and the complete sentence would be:

That is, since butchery is a highly skilled profession where considerable expertise (knowledge of animal anatomy, cuts of meat) is involved, it would not be right to say that the butcher’s incompetence corresponds to the surgeon’sincompetence.

Should I put a comma after 'profession'?

Thank you.
