    Default history of words

Hello, I'm french, and I'd like to be an English teacher later... I wanted to know where I could find the history of english words...
I already know the history behind the expression of "teddy bear", and it intruigued me... I would love to know more... But I don't see anything on the web...
If you could help me, then it would be sooo great... Thank you.
    Aude Lété.
