    adjective clause

    hi professor
    i have a question about adjective clause , especially the difference between who and whom. i mean when we should use them in the right place.

    "Who" is in the subjective case; it should be used when it is the subject of the clause.

    "Whom" is in the objective case; it should be used when it is the object of the clause or of a preposition.

    John is the man who introduced me to my wife. (who = subject)
    John is the man to whom I was introduced. (whom = object of preposition "to")
    Mary is the woman whom I love. (whom = direct object of "love")
