If you're talking about the times around sunrise and sunset, then I would say "It's light/getting light. We should get up and ..." or "It's dark/getting dark now. We'd better go home ..."

Please remember to make your thread titles have relevance to your question so that we can differentiate between the different threads. A good title for this would have been "The sky has turned bright".
Remember - correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing make posts much easier to read.
